To why the sky is blue (i just want to clear it up for some reason).  Blue light waves are abosorbed by gas molecules easier and when the molecules spit them back out is what gives the sky a blue color.  The other wavelength colors(red, yellow green etc..) come straight down without much deviation.  We see so many colors at sunset cause the light is traveling through so much more atmosphere that more of the light waves are being absorbed by molecules because they are passing through many more.
